FAQs
When is the 2026 Norway Maine Arts Festival?
The Norway Maine Arts Festival is held on the second Saturday of September. This year, the festival will be held on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 AM - 4 PM. Sunday, September 13th, will serve as the rain date.
Where do I park?
On-site parking options include the public parking area behind the Fareshare Co-Op, located on Deering, as well as the Norway Town Office off of Danforth and Beal, Norway Savings Bank, and Water Street Parking, situated behind the Gingerbread House. Off-site parking is available at the Guy E. Rowe School, and Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School (for those who don’t mind a short walk to Main Street). See the our festival map for more information.
Are dogs/pets allowed?
While we can't restrict animals from public streets, we strongly encourage you to leave your furry friends at home. The festival gets busy — think crowds, loud music, and lots of foot traffic — which can be stressful for even the most social pups. For the comfort of your pet and fellow festivalgoers, we think they'll be happiest waiting for you at home.
What should I bring to the festival?
Pack sunscreen and a hat for the afternoon sun. If you're planning to catch any of the live music and performances, a folding chair or blanket is highly recommended, as seating is limited. A tote or reusable bag is great for any art or vendor finds, and cash is handy since not all vendors may accept cards.
What does the festival cost?
The Norway Maine Arts Festival is free and open to the public. That said, it takes significant resources to pull off every year, and we rely on the generosity of our community to make it happen. If you would like to see this tradition continue or enjoy attending the festival each year, please consider donating. Every contribution goes directly toward keeping this event free for everyone.
When will performances happen throughout the festival?
See the full festival schedule here.
How can I find a specific vendor's booth?
Check out our festival schedule and map here. Stop by one of the three festival info booths to learn more or ask for directions.
Will there be food at the festival?
Yes! The Norway Maine Arts Festival hosts several food vendors each year, as well as a Farmers’ Market. See this year’s food vendors here.
What do I do in case of an emergency at the festival?
A medical tent is located at the main info booth for minor injuries. Please call 911 for serious medical emergencies. In the event of a lost child, please immediately inform an infobooth or call 207-227-0159. For any security questions or emergencies, please visit an information booth, check in with the Norway town police on site (located at the end of the festival street), or call 911.
