2026 Norway Maine Arts Festival Youth Poster Design Contest

Calling all young artists and designers in the Oxford Hills area! The Norway Maine Arts Festival is looking for a bold, original poster to represent this year’s celebration — and we want your vision on the walls, online, and across town.

This is your chance to showcase your creativity, highlight what makes Norway special, and help shape the look and feel of one of Maine’s most beloved community arts events. The winning student will receive a $500 prize and the opportunity to collaborate with Lights Out Gallery’s Creative Director to refine their poster and create additional festival materials.

Lights Out is thrilled to announce the Poster Design Competition for the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival, made possible by Dirigo Federal Credit Union. This opportunity is open to high school students living in Oxford County (Maine). This competition aims to showcase local artistic talent while offering students real-world experience in professional design.

Overview

  • Who Can Participate High school students in Oxford County.

  • What’s the Goal To design the official poster for the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival.

  • Prize The winning student will receive a $500 cash prize and work with our Creative Director to refine their design for professional use.

  • Deadline Submissions are due by Friday, March 14, 2025.

Competition Rules

  • Designs must be original. Copies of commercial art or characters will not be accepted.

  • One entry per student.

  • The winning student agrees to work with Lights Out's Creative Director to refine their design for final use.

  • All designs must adhere to the brand style guide (linked above).​​
